Michael Little the founder of Little Sombrero Salsa started Little Sombrero Salsa in Edmond, Oklahoma in January of 2002. He started it by having it Co-Packed by Richardson Foods of Oklahoma City. The first stores were Snyder's, IGA six stores then Crest Food 5 stores, Buy for less 12 stores and it kept growing quickly as Word of Mouth and Product Sampling of of the Salsa grew recognition and Demand by consumers and soon he was able to buy out his co-packer Richardson Foods.

This led to Salsa Category Managers and Store Owners calling him to set product placement in their distribution centers and stores. At this point our product had been in demand and logistics required our Salsa to go into three different distribution centers AWG (Associated Wholesale Grocers), Flemming Foods, as well as Reasor's Food Distribution Center for 16 stores. One Month Later, Albertsons wanted Little Sombrero Salsa in every store Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas through their distribution center in Dallas Fort Worth Texas. For a total of 287 Albertson's stores. 

In 2001 we joined Dunn and Bradstreet and in 2002 Little Sombrero Salsa reached several milestones by being accepted into Walmart, Kroger's, Safeway and HEB Grocery Stores through their respective distribution centers.
